China’s growing influence on the media industry is increasing significantly, and so is the Guardian's commitment to international issues. In October Guardian Professional is running Create in China 2008, a conference focusing on the opportunities opening up in the country.
The conference is attracting some leading names in Chinese media. Speakers include Ouyang Changlin, president of Hunan Media Group, Ding Hui, president of Hainan Media Group, and Sun Wei, executive director of international relations for Shanghai Media Group. They will provide delegates with in-depth analysis on the major creative and commercial opportunities opening up in China and the implications for UK-China media relations.
The event is being held on October 22 2008 at the British Museum in London. It is organised by Guardian Professional in association with International Programme Content Network, and sponsored by KPMG and BBC Worldwide.
